Side-stretching lengthens the muscles between the ribs and pelvis, and opens the sides of the rib cage, allowing room for the lungs to fully expand - making breathing easier - which gives you an immediate energy boost.
~ Stand or sit with your feet hip distance apart.
~ Raise your left arm overhead.
~ Press your left hip out and reach with your left arm.
~ Try opening the space between your left ribs with a couple of deep inhales.
~ Hold for 30 seconds and repeat on right side.
